How Much Could You Save by Watching Satellite TV on Your PC

Over the past few months, one of my best friends Downloaded a program for $49.95 called Satellite TV for PC. The product promised to allow him to watch live TV on his computer. I told him he was wasting his money and that there's no way you pay less than fifty bucks for a real internet TV program. By my logic, he would at least have to by some kind of expensive computer hardware to make online TV really work. Think about it, for less than the cost of Cable ($60 per month) and Direct TV ($90 per month)-- Satellite TV for PC is supposed to give you access to over 3000 channels from all over the world. "Yeah Right," I said.

I was so wrong about this one. I admit it. I went to my friend's house to see for myself. He loaded up the program for me and in minutes we were watching live television online ---thousands of channels. I couldn't believe it! All the channels I pay $60 a month for. The channels were clear plus there was a guide to all those channels that was super helpful. His sister came in the room and we all watched that Movie Hitch then started exploring the internet channels. By the time I looked at the clock, six hours had passed!! But during that time, I had checked my email, wrote a report for work, Tweeted, and checked Facebook.

After that I was convinced but I decided to do some research on Satellite Tv for the PC. I came across a few articles that touted it as a hit and miss concept. Then I read an article on MacWorld.com about how Apple is developing the same software for MACs. If Apple is doing it then it MUST be the Future. I was one of the people who that the iPod and the iPhone would flop. I guess that was the other time I was wrong. The other article I read was a LA Times article talking about how Comcast & Time Warner were trying to discourage online TV. This is the real reason to try it out. Anything that the big greedy cable companies don't like, must be a great product that is in direct competion with them. So I bought the Satellite TV for PC, downloaded it, and have been watching ever since. I'm watching internet television and I CANCELLED my $60 per month Cable immediately.
